Our Story

Empowering Teaching and Learning Through Brain Science

Brain-Based Learning Academy (BBL Academy) is Asia's pioneering hub for neuroscience-informed education. We unite the science of learning and the art of teaching to uplift educators from preschool to adult education — creating classrooms and workplaces where both hearts and minds flourish.

Founded in 2026 by Professor Er Meng Hwa and four co-founders, BBL Academy was established to advance brain-based learning pedagogy as a paradigm shift in education. We integrate the latest insights from neuroscience, psychology, and the science of learning to equip educators with research-informed strategies that truly work.
